Shane Kobald Art

Growing up in Colorado, I was constantly surrounded by nature, fishing, and hunting. These experiences instilled a deep connection and profound sense of wonder with the natural world. My art reflects my experiences, each piece a part of me.
I am not just an observer of the natural world but a part of it. I am fascinated by the complex narratives that shape our world. Through my artwork, I strive to deconstruct these narratives and expose the simpler underlying truths that are often hidden beneath the surface. At the same time, I am deeply inspired by the natural world and the sense of euphoria that connection can bring. My art seeks to bridge these two worlds - the complex and the natural - and to create a space for reflection and appreciation of their interplay. Through my creative process, I aim to inspire others to see the beauty and wonder in both the stories we tell and the world around us.
It's not about studying nature in a cold, scientific way; rather, it's about reciprocating my gratitude and reconciliation towards it. Rather than studying nature scientifically, I aim to show gratitude and reconciliation through art. I strive to capture the essence of the scenes I've encountered, fueled by the planet's gifts. I capture the essence of my experiences, embracing the planet's gifts. My artistic process involves handcrafting individualized prints and etchings, allowing for an absence of control and embracing a narrative exploration.
